Bio

I come from a long line of teachers. I always had a passion for teaching and eventually plan on getting my LLM so that I can become a Law Professor. On my first day of law school my professor told me something that I believe to this day. He told me, "It takes more than intelligence to succeed in law school and in life. No matter how intelligent you are, hard work and dedication will always get you further."

Touro Law School was one of the first law schools to have a TA program where second and third year law students taught first year students. I worked as a TA for two years teaching first and second year students. I received an Outstanding Teaching Assistant award for both years. I hold myself to a very high standard and I expect the students I tutor to be the same.

My experience has taught me that each student is different and there isn't a "One Size Fits All" formula. I work with students to see what works best for them and try to conform my teaching methods to their comfort. I can teach both MBE questions and Essay questions for New York Bar Exam.

I passed the New York Bar Exam in November 2012. I am currently working in a Law Firm in Mineola, New York. For that reason, I plan to tutor mostly on weekends. However, I can make arraignments to tutor on weekdays given enough notice.

I received an Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award for both years. I taught students on essay writing and answering multiple choice questions. After law school I continued to help students with various Law Subjects. The subjects I taught as a Teaching Assistant included: Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, Contracts, Property, Legal Writing, Constitutional Law and Trusts Wills and Estates (All of which are subjects tested on the Bar Exam).

Reading

Going through law school has taught me how to read effectively and concisely. Having to read very large cases in a short period of time has really improved my ability to comprehend very complex issues. I found many short cuts and techniques, which I still use today, to dissect large amount of material and still retain all the information.

Writing

Going through law school has taught me how to write effectively and concisely. We had to write numerous memos and briefs. The standards of the briefs and memos were very high as they were often graded by practicing attorneys and judges. More often than not, we had word limits. This raised two issues. One, we had to condense complex issues to fit the word limit. Two, we also had to write in such a way that the writing did not involve legal jargon.
