I have a M.S. in Business Management and a B.A.in Biology. I have been a HR Director for 10 yrs but my first love is Science and Math.I have taught Anatomy & physiology, Medical Terminology, Math and administration for a local college. I received the highest evaluations from my students.I believe that the teacher has to change their teaching style to the student... every body learns differently and everybody can learn. My teaching style is to apply concepts to every day things, so the student can relate... For example, in anatomy & physiology, chicken legs & breast were a hot topic....who hasn't ate a chicken?! The students could visual relate to the material. I want to give students an opportunity to learn, because not all teachers are good teachers, but the student shouldn't give up because of a bad teacher.. there is always another "way" to teach. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
