Musical College Saratov (Russia) (Piano)

My name is Vasily and I am a native Russian living and studying in New York. I received my college and university education in Russia and I have three degrees in piano performance and teaching, English translation and international relations. By today I have been the winner of numerous and various international piano and composer’s competitions and festivals both in the U.S. and abroad and I would love to share my passion for music with you and help you in discovering the beauties of music while steadily improving your piano skills. Learning to play an instrument might prove to be a challenge but I am here to help you organize your practicing in the most efficient way and according to your needs.
As for my language degree, I have been working as a part-time Russian/English instructor, translator and interpreter for the last four years providing my service for a wide range of businesses, schools and for private purposes.
I received my initial musical education in Saratov, Russia. In 2004 I entered the Saratov Regional College of Arts – one of the oldest institutions in the country – to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in piano teaching and performance which I graduated in 2008 with honors. I continued my piano studies at the Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinov with professor A.I. Katz and since 2014 I have been studying at the Long Island Conservatory of Music with one of the today’s most renowned concert pianists and music instructors.
I was always interested in languages and history and that is the reason why I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in these two subjects. In 2014 I graduated with honors from the Institute of History and International Relations and the Department of English Language and Intercultural Communication at the Saratov State University (Russia).
Having started to work as an English instructor I realized that I needed some more practical knowledge about teaching English as a foreign language more effectively and so I did the 150-hours Teaching English as a Foreign Language/TESOL Master Course (ACCREDITAT) and obtained an internationally recognized ESL teacher’s certificate.
What I love about teaching – piano or language – is that it is one of the best ways of communication – which is to share the knowledge with your students for their benefit and progress using your creativity and imagination. Whatever your learning goals are I am here to do my best helping you reach them in a most productive way. Please do not hesitate to contact me to schedule your lesson and discuss further details.
Thank you! Dear friends!
