About Sheryl

I have always been passionate about working with students. I have taught as a special education teacher for the last six ears, working with students of varied needs and ability levels. Working with students from Kindergarten - 8th grade has given me a wide variety of opportunities and experiences. I currently work as a certified special education teacher providing ICT instruction to 3rd grade.

I am excited to work on breaking down confusion and misunderstanding, and boosting the basic skills that improve learning. It is necessary to bridge the gaps in order to help students move forward in their academic work. My methods include breaking work down into easier more manageable steps, providing checklists to enable in understanding of how to respond to questions and solve problems. I am excited to help you (or your student) work on material you need help with! Bring me those confusing books, those difficult math problems, and those phonics struggles! Let's work together to make your work easier and more understandable.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
