Hello! My name is Pehalvi. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Oral Biology at NYU. I love teaching and have over 8 years of experience working with various tutoring companies and I was also a teacher at the United South End Settlements in Boston, MA. I feel most comfortable teaching math, english, and science. My teaching approach is to teach the appropriate material from the beginning and build up to more difficult topics, but what is most important is that the student is PRACTICING the material. Therefore, after teaching the material, it is important to me that we are doing problems together and going through each step to help you succeed! One of my goals to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed.
I am generally available every day of the week from 12 pm to 9pm and I can travel to students but I've found that working at a library is most productive. Please contact me for more details!
I look forward to hearing from you. With a little hard work and practice, you will definitely be able to conquer any subject and I would love to help you achieve that.
I've tutored math for years now and can teach you many tricks and short cuts to make math easier and more understandable!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
