Emory University (Biology)
I have a degree in biology from Emory University (2007). My August 2006 MCAT score was 39 (15PS 11VR 13BS). Since 2007, I have been teaching science and math for high school students. Due to my background in science and math and love for teaching, I have countless students received 800 on SATII subject test math level 1 and 2, biology, chemistry and physics, 5's on AP chemistry and physics, and many students qualified for Olympiad chemistry national round. I also pushed students to take AP exams without taking AP classes to make student's college application competitive and learn higher topics in science to spike their interest.
I am willing to teach very competitive, hardworking students who are trying to achieve great scores in AP and SAT scores and 95+ in school class grades. I can be a great assistance when the student is willing to work with me to bring out the maximum potential performance.
My schedule is extremely limited but I am trying to open up more ways to meet great students and work with them for their behalf. When trying to reach out to schedule, please give me a brief description of what you are willing to achieve and past achievements, such as standardized exam grade (SAT, AP, PSAT, SAT IIs, AP etc), awards and name of the high school. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
