Ehi ciao ragazzi! My name is Peter and I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Italian Language and Literature at CUNY Queens College
I have previously studied in Italy, and I come from a family where Italian is spoken in the home and if you so choose, I can even teach you some dialect!
I've read and studied several of the great Italian literary works such as Il Decameron, Orlando Furioso, Il Principe, and La Divina Commedia as well as Italian poetry and staged plays and novels by Luigi Priandello.
I have an extensive knowledge of Italian culture and food as well as the country's history!
When tutoring, I try to only speak in the Italian which compels the student to think more quickly in the language. I will try to stay away from English, unless it is needed (depending on level etc). I think that reading comprehension and listening comprehension is also vital in learning any foreign language. By either reading, or listening to a language, the student understands the flow and the rhythm of the language more, thus making it easier for them to comprehend what they are learning.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully one day being able to work with you! Ehi ciao ragazzi! My name is Peter and I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Italian Language and Literature at CUNY Queens College
My rates can be accommodated depending on situation. I charge per session, not per hour. Students in the past have generally ask for an hour and a half to two hours of tutoring services.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
