Hello! My name is Margarita and I just moved back to the U.S after a long stint abroad teaching in many amazing schools. I taught Kindergarten in South America, first grade in Mexico City and in Dubai . My first teaching experience was in Phoenix, Arizona teaching full day Kindergarten. I have a BA in Elementary Education and a Master's in Bilingual/Multicultural Education. I have been teaching for 11 years. I am currently teaching grade 1 in a local charter school here in Rochester. I am also fluent in both Spanish and English. I can assist you and your child in many ways. My strong points are working with children from K-3 in reading, writing, and math. I have also enjoyed holding Spanish conversation groups with my fellow expats. I grew up speaking Spanish at home. My parents are from Colombia, South America. Living in Latin American countries has also improved my Spanish. Please be aware that I was not educated in Spanish , therefore my grammatical rules and such are limited. I am strong in the conversational aspect of the language. I have plenty of international experience and would love to share all of it with you, and I would love to learn more about you! Please let me know how I can help!! I am looking to begin tutoring by the the end of June until the end of August.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
