I am currently and have been an elementary special education teacher in New York City for the past 11 years. I am excited to be returning to the Herkimer area this summer and am looking forward to continuing the work of helping students make progress in their education. (I grew up in the Little Falls/Dolgeville area) My expertise is in working with students with learning disabilities as well as emotional needs from grades 4-6, but I feel that I would be able to tutor any student in grades K-6. As a special education teacher, I have experience in modifying work and breaking concepts down into more manageable chunks to ensure that you and/or your child have access to it. I enjoy working with students, have an easy going personality, good communication skills, and the high expectation that all students can do well in school.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
