Failing my first computer science course gave me huge motivation to understand programming from the ground up. I literally learned binary first to read execution code, studied memory management, studied boolean logic to then revisit programming the next semester. It taught me the fundamentals of programming and gave me the strong base I needed to move on with programming as well a mathematics. I intend to depart this knowledge to all my students.

I want to help teach because it is the most important thing in the world, period. Teaching is an antidote to life as it allows you to spread your love throughout the world. Programming is a very essential concept I have taught for 7 years. Programming is about breaking concepts down as using each component to make bigger programs. It is important to learn how to dribble before you can dunk a basketball. You need to learn from your mistakes so that you can improve and most important understand what you are doing wrong so you can move on to the next step.
I went to New York University University for 4 years from 2007-2011. I was a TA and after school I worked for Varsity Tutors, a private tutoring company where I tutored students online and in person. I also am actively learning using PluralSight to learn the most bleeding edge technologies. I don’t want students just to put code on a piece of paper, I want them to understand the code, and teach them not what to think but how to think.

I love teaching and completing Computer Science assignments. I would love to help you learn. If you can teach a man to fish, he can fish forever.

IMPORTANT: If you want me to tutor you, please send me what you need help with and a time, date, and timezone you want to meet to speed up the process so I can confirm or deny the meeting time or subject matter.

Broke down concepts into easier to understand parts

Michael was great in helping me understand binary algebra and logic concepts. Before starting on a problem, he made sure we went over the basics which helped me to understand the actual problem.

another great session

Mike can get you back and running if you break down! Thx for helping me get the technology un-stuck! It's a relief to know that there is somewhere to go for help when you need it.

Easy to talk to and understand

I learned more in one session with Michael than I did in the previous 6 months. Git and Github are convoluted organizations of files and updates. Michael was able to demystify the mysterious ways and help me understand.

Engaging and knowledgeable

He knows the topics areas and is able to explain them in an easy to understand manner. I would go to him again for computer programming or Java issues. I also used him for a Github tutorial.

GitMaster!

Michael is very knowledgeable in all things tech! He guided me through understanding the fundamentals of GitHub, managing my local repos and understanding the lingo that comes with working with GitHub. He is also very savy at the tools that can help ease the use of repos. Thank you!!!!

Excellent tutor

I think I've had both good tutors and bad in the past, do my session with Michael was one of the most informative and productive sessions I've had in quite some time. He took his time to make sure I understood everything, and by the end of the session I was far more confident in the course material than I was before hand. I would definitely recommend him to anyone, and will certainly be scheduling again.

Very knowledgeable and helpful

Michael was super helpful. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Helped me understand the concepts and find solutions. He helped me on a lab that I am working on for a college class in Java. Michael found solutions very quickly and walked me through the solutions.
