My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of reading, writing and overall learning. I knew early on that teaching reading was my calling in life! Reading and writing open the door to endless opportunities in life. As a young child, I would get lost in books day after day and then practice writing my own stories based on the world I was exploring through literature. I have been blessed to teach and tutor in the Capital District for over 18 years. I am more passionate today and keep pushing myself to be the best teacher I can be through educating.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
