Thank you for considering me for your tutoring needs!

My name is Haley. I have 10 years experience as a tutor and 5 years experience as a classroom teacher in English, Writing and Literacy, Science, English as a Second Language and Mathematics.

My most recent job was a first grade educator in Albany, New York, and have experience working with high school students, college students and with adults. Through earning my Master's Degree in Education at The College of Saint Rose, I learned to be adaptive and in tune to the varying needs of students, and to use extensive tools in education, such as phonics, creative writing strategies and test taking and organizational skills to help them achieve their academic goals.

To parents, wanting to better the future of their students:
I have confidence in my ability to help your child succeed, and enjoy themselves while becoming empowered through learning! I have been described as charismatic, patient and knowledgeable, and am able provide your child you as parents with some great resources to work with! I hope you will consider me as your next tutor, and that we will become a great team for meeting your student's needs!

To adults and young adults, working to better their own futures:
As a Teacher's Assistant for six years during my Master's in an institute of Higher Education, I have an understanding of your perseverance to better yourself through learning and appreciation for the unique challenges you face as an adult learner. Allow me to share in your goals so that you may achieve success! Learning is something that no one can take from you, and that never loses value. Let's work together to increase understanding, learn something new and contribute to a life well lived!

Knowledgeable and patient

Haley accomplished so much in the first appointment with my son. He has an AP test coming up soon. She helped him organize his notes and create a solid study plan. We are going to catch up with her again before the test.

Very patient and knowledgeable

Haley is very patient and understanding with my son. She is also very knowledgeable in regards to schools testing requirements to aid in preparing him for finals. I'm grateful she is able to push David past his comfort level to find more confidence in his abilities. I hope she is available next school session too :)
