Stanford University (PhD)
Throughout my time at Cornell and Stanford I focused on cell and molecular biology while developing a broad scientific knowledgebase including chemistry (organic and inorganic), math, and physics. I also spent a year in medical school at Columbia, with coursework in anatomy, neuroscience, and pathology. Whether you're seeking tutoring for coursework or standardized test preparation, my experience can help you prepare for both.
I've tutored middle school, high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, and I have experience teaching biology and biochemistry at the college level. I'm flexible and patient, adapting my tutoring approach to each students' specific needs. If it sounds like I'd be a good tutoring fit for you or your child, please be in touch! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
