Hello! My name is Zachary M. and I have a great love for tutoring mathematics. Currently, I am employed as a full-time pharmacist for Rite Aid. I am a graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, from which I hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) degree with a minor in Mathematics. While enrolled in college, I took several mathematics courses as part of my minor. This includes Calculus 1 and 2, Differential Equations, Introduction to Mathematical Proof, Laplace Transform, Complex Analysis, and Linear Algebra. All math courses that I have taken in college I received either in the "A" or "B" range.
My experience as a mathematics tutor started 8 years ago when I tutored several high school students in Algebra 1. Often, when I tutor students, they need a more customized approach to learning, where they can feel free to ask any questions and have someone who can answer with enough detail. Algebra is one of my favorite kinds of math to tutor and I am also qualified to tutor Algebra 2. I have a strong understanding of the New York State Common Core Curriculum, and when I tutor subjects that fall under the purview of Common Core, my tutoring is geared towards what students will need to know to be successful on the Regents exam. I can help students prepare for both the Algebra 1 Common Core Regents Exam and the Algebra 2 Common Core Regents Exam.
My true love, however, is tutoring Calculus 1 and 2. I have 4 years of experience tutoring Calculus 1 and 2 at the college level and I am familiar with all the ingredients that are necessary to be successful in any Calculus course. Over the course of my 4 years as a Calculus tutor, I have tutored dozens of students, and I always encouraged them to contact me with any additional questions they might have. Feel free to contact me anytime to make an appointment and I look forward to meeting you!
