Stony Brook University (Music)
I am a 20 year old music performance major at Stony Brook University. I play violin, piano, and a little bit of bass guitar, but violin is my main instrument of choice. I have been playing for twelve years, and have played in various orchestras, including the University Orchestra at Stony Brook.
My goal as a private violin teacher is to pass on my love of music and strings to the next generation, expanding their minds and showing them how music really can change lives. I also have an interest in music journalism, and currently intern at Zumic Entertainment, as well as writing for the Stony Brook Independent.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have tutored in other subjects before, trying to figure out what method works best for each individual student and being patient with them.
