Hi my name is Matt and I am a Graduate Physics student at the University at Buffalo. I graduated in 2017 with a bachelors degree in Physics and a minor in mathematics. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Particle Physics!

I have been tutoring through Wyzant for nearly four years now. My tutoring experience extends outside of my time here with Wyzant to my early years as an undergraduate and sometime in High School.

As part of my Ph.D. program, I teach a course every semester. This gives me an inside look on the inner workings of a public college program such as the University at Buffalo.

I specialize in tutoring Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Physics. I am capable of tutoring higher level courses such as Calculus 1,2 and 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Partial Differential Equations.

My rate is $45/hr but may be negotiated. Feel free to contact me through Wyzant and we can set up an appointment as soon as possible!

I am currently tutoring an Algebra 1 student and his grades have increased from 50 to 85. 95+ in Algebra 1 and 2 in high school.

Physics

I am currently a physics student at the University at Buffalo entering my senior year. I had just received a letter grade of an A (UB only goes up to A) in my class of Intermediate mechanics 2. This is a class which mostly focuses on things such as, velocities, acceleration, the rotational side of things, and goes in depth to points of special relativity. I had also received a B+ in Quantum Physics 2 which would of been an A if I had not had a miss hap on exam 1
Algebra 2, Calculus, Prealgebra, SAT Math

Great Tutor And Mentor!

Matthew is very patient. last year my son was failing math and Matt helped bring his grade up to a B and he passed the algebra exam! Matt continued to tutor him through the summer to get ahead start on geometry and my son has had over a 90 average! Now the focus on studying for exam and then on to trig and SAT PREP! He tutors remotely using Wyzant technology ! thanks Matt for agreeing to that and for also being a great mentor toy son!

Matthew

My son Kevin told me that Matt is a very good teacher. He provided details to help Kevin understand all problems which he asked.

Very helpful!

Matt was very useful in helping me understand the concepts of physics. Easy to contact by phone or text. For the first appointment he helped me find the problems I was having in understanding formulas and problem solving.
