I am a business professional with over 10 years of work experience in administrative roles. I have an associate's degree in liberal arts, a Bachelor of History from the University of Buffalo, and a Master of Business Administration from Canisius College. In addition to my degrees, I am also a fluent Spanish speaker and was once a translator for the Department of Social Services in Orleans County. I can also help tutor with the French language. I took 6 years of French throughout high school and college.
I am an avid reader and writer, and got excellent scores all throughout high school and college for my writing skills. I have vast experience with all types of writing, including technical writing, thesis and research paper writing and also creative writing. I am skilled in spelling and grammar and have tutored students in the past with this. While at Genesee Community College, I was a peer tutor and helped my fellow students in Spanish and writing.
I am a very patient and love to help students learn the subjects that they need help in. I believe that students need to feel comfortable and encouraged in order to succeed in learning a subject. I want to help students reach their goals and truly understand the subjects that they are trying to learn. I am a business professional with over 10 years of work experience in administrative roles. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
