Hello, I have a college degree in math, have taught middle school math, prealgebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry and test prep classes in 3 schools across the country and have tutored those subjects plus elementary school math, honors algebra 2, trigonometry, AP precalculus, intermediate algebra, college algebra, calculus 1, 2 and differential equations. My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra, precalculus, calculus 1 and SAT prep and can currently tutor anything up to differential equations. I tested at the 95th percentile in algebraic reasoning, have helped several dozens of students, consistently improve struggling students' math grades at least one letter grade, received parental and student accolades on multiple occasions and really enjoy answering questions through text and email outside tutoring hours.
I'm available immediately and will meet you almost anywhere in the Buffalo area. Hello, I have a college degree in math, have taught middle school math, prealgebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry and
Deji met with my son to work on Calculus 1 (college level Engineering level). He had a prior tutor that did not get very good results, and we are so excited that after meeting only one time, my son's test score improved dramatically! He really helped him understand the concepts, gave him extra problems to practice, and broke down the concept into easier terms, and then scaffold with increasingly difficult problems to prepare him for the test. We are definitely going to continue to use him to help Nathan continue to be successful at this college level engineering math! Thanks!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
