Hi there! My name is Nathania , and I am a Tutor! Here is a little bit about my educational history. I have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of South Florida and I am currently a 4th-year medical student at St. George's University. I have gained experience tutoring in various subjects throughout my 8 yr University experience. I have experience in tutoring Anatomy and Physiology , Biology and Math at the Elementary, Middle and High-School levels in the Pinellas County Florida school system through a tutoring program called AVID for 2 yrs. The math subjects I feel comfortable teaching and have taught in the past are, Elementary math, Pre Algebra and Algebra I. I believe firmly that math is mastered with practice and that anyone with enough work can excel in math.
My experience while training to become a physician has also allowed me to master topics such as Anatomy and Physiology I have studied anatomy and physiology extensively as part of my professional training. These two topics are the bread and butter of medicine and as a physician in training, I am very comfortable tutoring in these subjects and have experience tutoring Junior medical students in these topics.
I have also studied Spanish for 10 yrs and have spent time abroad in Costa Rica during my undergraduate year taking Advanced Conversational Spanish for 5 weeks. I am very proficient in Spanish and can Tutor/Teach beginners level Spanish. I am TESOL certified and can help students that need tutoring in speaking or writing English. I am very patient, encouraging and positive-minded tutor. I will work with a student until they achieve the confidence and the proficiency they are aiming for.
