Hello, I'm Anette! I am of a STEM related major of Civil Engineering at The City College of NY. A little bit about me,I love to explore! Additionally, to keep myself informed and read books on topics I am unfamiliar with. It is important to also learn outside of the classroom! It is always great to keep one constantly thinking and challenging yourself! I try to teach these lessons to the kids I work with, to consistently challenge themself and reach for the highest potentials/opportunities. Success comes in all shapes and forms. Building stepping stones from real life activities, helps to build knowledge in the classroom and in various other aspects. The ability to see kids strive for excellence is one that has many rewards in my achievements. I have the capabilities to teach students the most effective ways to learn these subjects and approach uncertainties in complex STEM subjects.

I have had experience in tutoring for 4+ years now, tutoring students of all ages in subjects of: chemistry, pre-algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus and calculus I and II. I try to take real life examples and make these subjects enjoyable, helping to enhance learning and make sure everyone understands the tasks at hand! When students struggle in particular studies, I sit down and come up with a strategy/plan that will best work for them. I motivate my students to work hard, as academic excellence at an early age is stressed upon. I look to create ways to better student habits, while teaching great tips for studying and lessening procrastination. Each day brings a new challenge and I am optimistic to have students practice, learn, and further take that knowledge to test themselves in the classroom and in the real world. At the end of the day, students will love learning in more efficient and helpful ways to encourage others in approaches.
