My extensive history with the Spanish language makes me a unique, qualified, and fun teacher! I became fluent at a young age through working construction in Los Angeles. This experience solidified my ability to converse freely and comfortably with native speakers, giving me a leg up on my peers at school.
In 2018 I graduated with honors from Oberlin College, having earned degrees in both Hispanic Studies and Psychology. My involvement in the Hispanic Studies program greatly enriched my understanding of Latinx and Spanish literature, as well as my ability to write about it from a critical standpoint. Additionally, I was able to travel to Spain and Puerto Rico during this time, furthering my insight into a wide array of cultures and dialects.
After graduating from college, I developed a passion for teaching Spanish. My diverse background allows me to engage deeply with my students, producing results in their areas of interest. I feel comfortable teaching at any level, whether it be basic grammar, writing and reading comprehension, or general conversation. As a result of my higher education, I can also construct lessons on literature, history or art.
I look forward to helping more students engage with the Spanish language in the ways that they choose!

I graduated with honors from Oberlin College with a degree in Hispanic Studies, so I have a great deal of experience within the academic setting as it relates to Spanish. As a student, I was able to tutor individuals in lower level classes, as well as local youth. These experiences have inspired me to continue to tutor students at all levels since graduating.
