About AJ

I am currently running my own startup creating a wireless headset to control a computer with your thoughts. We are doing complex machine learning, real-time digital signal processing, wireless data transmission, wearable technology, printed circuit board design, and graphical user interface design. Multiprocessing has come second nature to me and I love to solve complex systems and problems.

Teaching-wise, I worked as a Matlab teaching assistant at Clemson to teach new engineers the fundamentals of coding for over three years. After leaving school in 2014 I started a non-profit computer programming course in Charleston, SC which taught young students (grades 4-8) html/css/javascript.

All in all I love to program!

I am the lead developer and am using JavaScript, Python, low-level firmware code such as C in Arduino specifically microcontrollers. I can build electronic circuits and have experience with Kicad for printed circuit board design. I have written Bluetooth 2.x and 4.x communication protocols along with Wifi communication protocols including UDP and TCP, along with ZeroMQ messaging service. I am an avid automated/unit tester and can teach the fundamentals of computer

I have experience with Arduino, C, C++, Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Angular, Electron, ZeroMQ, Multiprocessing, Data structures, Amazon Web Services, Cloud computer, and clustered computing.

I enjoy teaching students who want to learn and am always around for last minute questions. Signup for lessons today and learn from a professional programmer!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

C

At Clemson University, as a Computer Engineer, I was extensively trained how to program in C. Most of the classes I took required using C and after 3 years there I became proficient. In the past couple years I have been programming microcontrollers which are all in C and C++. I have contributed tens of thousands of lines of C code in open source repositories. I am currently writing C code that runs on an ESP8266 Wifi module to send bio-signal data wirelessly in a partnership with OpenBCI. They have publicly endorsed the partnership in multiple newsletters.

Computer Engineering

I spent four years at Clemson University studying Computer Engineering with an emphasis in computer architecture and machine learning. I never failed or dropped a class and earned a GPA well over a 3.0. I was recruited to work as a Robotics Engineer by Boeing because of my computer engineering abilities. Computer Programming

I spent four years at Clemson University studying Computer Engineering. Computer engineering requires extremely tough problem solving via computer programming. I am fluent in source code control and using GitHub to manage software projects. I am the lead maintainer for the "openbci" Node.JS driver which gives web developers the ability to get complex bio-sensor data from a hardware board. I am good with auto testing. I have written two iOS applications, eventually selling one and open sourcing the other which got over 10,000 downloads. I was recruited and trained by the Boeing Aerospace Company as a Robotics Engineer and learned amazing software skills during my time there.
I contributed over 100,000 lines of source code in 2016. I love computer programming!

JavaScript

I spent four years at Clemson University studying Computer Engineering. I am the lead maintainer for the "openbci" Node.JS driver which gives web developers the ability to get complex bio-sensor data from a hardware board. I am good with auto testing and I am developing an application called Thinker which is written in Javascript.

Python

I am currently using Python for machine learning, digital signal processing, and real-time analytics. I have been programming with Python just about every day for over six months. Python came very naturally for me and I have contributed complex code to the PyReimann library on Github. I enjoy Python because of its extensible unit testing framework.
