About Michelle

I have spent over 30 years working as an award-winning writer/editor for leading academic institutions such as Barnard College, Fordham University, Pratt Institute and NYU Tandon School of Engineering (formerly Polytechnic Institute of NYU.

I have always enjoyed writing and have written a collection of short stories and poems that I hope to have published shortly. Currently, I am editing an autobiography of a young writer/educator.

Throughout my career, I guided fledgling freelance writers in preparing text that engaged the reader and eradicated unnecessary language.

I am patient, exacting, and have a great sense of humor. My goal is to give the student my best, so he/she can move towards their personal goals.

Worked as Director of Communication working with in-house freelance designers and writers. Handled editing, rewrites, copy and design approval. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

I would like to work with students who don't believe that they have a good grasp of grammar and language. I will give you 100%. Be prepared to work hard and have fun.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
