I enjoy tutoring because I enjoy connecting with students who want help. I also enjoy connecting with parents who want to help their children. I have tutored students in elementary school, high school, and college. One of my greatest pleasures is when a student shows me a test on which they obtained a high score.
The first thing I do when meeting a new student is listen. My assessment of the student's ability allows me to craft a unique approach that caters to the individual. I do not give homework, because I find that most students have homework already. My aim is to get the student to look at his existing homework in a different way. I also utilize fast-paced drills in order to reinforce learning.
I am generally available from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM, and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. I am qualified to tutor in English, grammar, literature, public speaking, SAT reading, ACT reading, SAT writing, and spelling. Contact me today to start seeing higher scores on exams and increased confidence in the classroom. I look forward to hearing from you!

The first thing I do
Excellent patience and extremely professional. I can see the progress manifesting in his reading confidence. Would recommend to any parent looking to help their child overcome that reading hurdle.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a tutor for reading and English comprehension for many years. My achievements include helping students pass their examinations and write award-winning papers.I believe that one of the difficulties that occur when a child has problem reading is that they have a limited vocabulary. Once I make sure that the student understands the rules of phonetics, I then help the student to expand his knowledge of vocabulary words.
