Hankook University of Foreign Studies/ Dalian University of Foreign Languages (Korean)
New York University (Master's)
I am really a lover of teaching and learning languages. I am a Chinese native speaker and my undergraduate major is Korean with the second major of Japanese. I used to be the exchange student in Hankook University of Foreign Studies in South Korea and at there, I started my tutoring career.
The first time I start to tutor was that when I was a freshman, I went to 2 kids centers in Korea to teach them Chinese for 2 months. I tutored 2 classes- without any knowledge of Chinese and with some knowledge of Chinese. I did different plans for 2 classes and also for individuals. After two months, these students all can have simple communication with me and even learned many Chinese stories and songs. The kids centers and parents of students all spoke high of me.
I started my Korean tutoring life 3 years ago and have taught many different students at different levels. My advantage is that for every student, I always did an evaluation first and then offered a full study plan for individual students to encourage them learn better. Now in New York city, I am a graduate student of NYU and hoping I can keep my tutoring career and help more students to learn languages easier, and better.
I also did many translation and interpretation work between Chinese- Korean, Korean- English and Chinese- English. I used to work at China People's Daily to do News Translation and also used to be interpretation for KBS meetings and Shanghai Media Group for a year.
I can do both tutoring work and translation/ interpretation work in New York city. I can travel to students or hold class online.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to contact with me.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
