About Aaron

I've been teaching private lessons since 2007. Lesson subjects include Guitar, Improvisation, Theory, History, and Composition to name a few. In addition to private lessons, I have taught group classes, master classes and clinics in a wide range of classrooms, and subject material.

I grew up playing Hardcore, Punk, Grindcore, and Noise. Went to school for Jazz Studies, and now play in a few indie bands, a surf rock group, and jazz/improvised ensembles.

I think that using repertoire that you like, and finding the inner workings of how it works and how that applies to technique in a physical and mental manner is the way to go. I just really like music, and look forward to working with you.

I think music is pretty amazing, and am constantly learning and studying from performer/composers that I admire. I also really like books, so I also do a lot of studying on my own. I like the idea of not being a teacher per se, but being a friend who is also learning with you, because I definitely learn a lot from teaching everyday.

Let's play music together.
