Bio

I am an undergrad college student hoping to pursue a degree in English with an Education minor. I have taught many young children over the years, mainly from grades K-6. As a high school student, I helped undergrads with their essays, including a final thesis paper for one of the students. I love proofreading works because I love reading books and writing (mainly fiction).

In high school, my professors drilled in me how to write the perfect essay. After four years of the school, I have learned how to write well.
As a young middle schooler, I helped my eldest sister get her citizenship, aiding her in her English and in answering the questions asked.
I love tutoring young children because they love to learn; they are like sponges soaking in knowledge. I enjoy seeing their eyes light up when they finally understand a concept.

I was an avid reader from a young age. At the age of 10, I was reading the sixth Harry Potter novel. In middle school, I enjoyed Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. And in high school, I was reading Shakespeare, like everyone else.

I taught a 4th grader a year ago and his state level exams increased by 100 points or so after teaching him for six months. I am a grammar Nazi and even while talking, I dislike when people make mistakes with their choice of words.

I love little children and I love to interact with them. To me, it is a privilege to teach the next generation.

I am available throughout the summer but as I am an undergrad, my hours tend to get wonky when the fall and spring semesters begin.

I would love to teach during this summer of 2016 so please, don't hesitate to contact.
