College of Staten Island (Education Mathematic)
Have tutored students of all races and ages from junior high to HS in subjects mainly in mathematics and English. My goal is to patiently and efficiently create the best method of tutoring for my student to fully grasp the lesson. Most importantly reaching results that make everyone happy is a priority.
Dealing with children is a love of mine and I have exceptionally exceeded in making them understand the subjects they are having trouble in. Making it fun and exciting to study again! Money is not a factor in my passion, just dealing with these students and watching improvements is what I enjoy most and is most fulfilling.
Ever since I was growing up in junior high I have been getting personal phone calls from parents of classmates to tutor their child personally at home or at a library in math. Subject dealing with algebra 1 & 2 trig, geometry, SAT. This habit carried on with until high school and I realized I am actually really good at this and not only that, I actually have a passion for teaching math to people! I decided to take on an education degree in CUNY College CSI and majored in Education Mathematics. I am currently looking to start my own tutoring business with this education degree and this is an amazing platform to begin.
I am very flexible in my work hours and I go out of my way to help students have an incredible studying experience. I encourage students to self express themselves in their studies and to not be afraid to not understand everything right away. With a few important sessions every student can get a step closer to getting the results that everyone wants. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
