Hi!
My name is Yarden and I'm an Israeli living in NYC and looking to tutor in Hebrew. I am fluent and proficient in both Hebrew and English, and I bring to the table experience in working with children, as well as in training and education. I was trained in the IDF as an instructor, have held training positions in most of my jobs thereafter, and have recently been assisting with the young actors' program at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in NYC.
I feel that I can give the proper attention and instruction to a student; my approach is to give one tools to not just learn but remember and implement technique, so that they can actually retain the lesson long-term (more like teaching to sow rather than just giving the grains every lesson).
I am attentive, professional, caring, and encouraging. I keep a serious learning environment but at the end of class I assure you, the student will have learned something new!
As far as my secondary teaching subjects go, I am a Method trained actor and am very interested in introducing Relaxation and Sense Memory techniques as a way to being more real on stage, present and in the moment. The Method can go a long way in helping people both in and out of the acting industry; it helps you connect to yourself and delivers a truthful result. Ask me more and I'll go into in in depth!
I am Israeli; Hebrew is my Mother Tongue. I have experience in voice work and in journalism–both areas require good knowledge and control of the language and its grammar.
I have been teaching in some capacity since I was trained as an instructor in the Israeli military.
I have good knowledge of the system; I was trained in the IDF to simplify and implement Windows and Windows-based software to soldiers.
I am a Method trained actor, alumna of The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute NYC, and a teaching assistant at the Lee Strasberg School for the young actors program.
