Hello!

My name is Tyler. I have eight years of experience tutoring through Wyzant, and I have a passion for helping students succeed. My subjects of expertise are math, Spanish, and video production / editing (primarily Adobe Premiere & Adobe After Effects). My time teaching children has taught me that children are often capable of far more than they or their elders give them credit for, so long as they're treated with respect, patience, and enthusiasm.

Throughout my life since the age of 18, I helped students of various ages (elementary level to college level) improve their grades in mathematics through in-person and online lessons. I've worked as a teachers assistant in a Pre-K class in a New York Public School, and I have worked on creating educational content at the popular children's network, Nick Jr.

With regards to Spanish, I grew up in a bilingual home with a bilingual family in the bilingual city of Miami. Beyond taking Spanish throughout middle school and high school, I earned a minor in Spanish during my time at NYU. In the fall of 2017, I studied abroad in Madrid where I completed coursework in Spanish linguistics. I've worked in offices where Spanish was the main language, and I've performed Spanish-English translation work for Forbes México.

With respect to video production, I'm a seasoned video editor with experience in all areas of production. I currently work at a YouTube channel management agency called Touchstorm. In 2019, I produced a theatrical promo for Coca-Cola that aired in Regal Theaters nationwide. In my free time, I like to animate short music videos in After Effects set to songs I enjoy.
