Binghamton University (Neuroscience)
I am a rising Junior at Binghamton University majoring in Integrative Neuroscience, with a shared passion for teaching. I have served as a Teaching Assistant for Inorganic Chemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology for one year, and I have also tutored Cell and Molecular Biology for a semester. This upcoming semester, I will also serve as an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant. I love helping others explore their potential, sharing my knowledge, and facilitating worthwhile scientific, mathematical, or even English discussions.
My tutoring style aims at helping students to organize their material, which includes, helping them to outline textbook chapters, and provide them with study tips that worked for me. I understand the importance of tutoring, as I myself have been tutored in most of the classes I took at Binghamton thus far. And so, being able to help others, just the way I have been helped is very rewarding to me.
I understand the challenges of maths, and know how to help students come up with quick, tactful ways of how to solve problems.
I love science! My passion alone makes me explain science in a way that is comprehensive, concise, and worth learning. Being able to make science relate-able to the "real world" is a gift I have.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or tutoring lessons! I would really love to help anyone who is in need of any tutoring assistance. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have served as a Public Speaking Skills Lab Consultant at Binghamton University, and thus, know how to coach and debrief people on improving their public speaking skills.
