I am a young, but experienced, math teacher/tutor. I am entering into my 8th year teaching and have taught every math course offered at the high school level. Having done so allows me to see concepts as part of the bigger picture and to relate current concepts to those already learned and to those that are yet to come. I am a young, but experienced, math teacher/tutor. I am entering into my 8th year teaching and have taught every math course offered at the high school level. Having done so allows me to see concepts as part of the bigger picture and to relate current concepts to those already learned and to those that are yet to come. I specialize in breaking down difficult concepts so they become more manageable and then giving my students more opportunities to practice the newly learned skills. I believe each student learns in different ways and at their own pace, and I work to meet each student where they are at and bring them to the level they want to be at.

I hold a BA in Psychology from Swarthmore College, an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and an Ed. S in Curriculum and Instruction from Kennesaw State University. All of my educational experiences have led me to develop my unwavering love for learning that I strive to pass to all students I work with.

I specialize in Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and AP Calculus AB. Additionally, I enjoy teaching students at all different learning speeds/abilities. I have taught inclusive classroom with students needing accommodations, general education classes, and accelerated/AP classes. Whether you feel lost with your math work during distance learning, just want help on a specific concept or assignment, or you are studying for a big test, I will break down the information that you need to know into manageable chunks. I am well versed in the Common Core at the high school level and have plenty of resources to supplement your learning.

fantastic math tutor!

Katherine has been working with my 8th grader and my 11th grader all semester on their math homework and she has been amazing. She is thorough in her explanations, prepared for every session, really supportive and approachable. She has made math feel less intimidating for them—even the AP Calculus! Very grateful to have had her help during this full-time online semester.
