Harvard University (Biology Anthropology)
Pace University - New York, NY (Master's)
Education has been my life's work since tutoring elementary school students during my high school days. As an honors graduate from Harvard University and a successful high school science teacher in New York (Living Environment, Advanced Placement Biology), I know how important it is to put extra time in to ensure academic success. I've been able to help over 90% of my students pass their Regents exams, while also more students pass the AP Biology exam than ever before at my school. As a coach for other teachers, I've been able to help their middle school students attain at least two years of growth academically in English and Math as measured by nationally normed assessments.
I am fortunate in my ability to teach a wide variety of subjects to a wide variety of students. While I can provide tutoring in middle school English, Math, and Science, I specialize in high school Biology and essay writing.
Throughout my career in education I've always sought out feedback, from both parents and students, and will always welcome commentary.
I will endeavor to be flexible with regard to scheduling - I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, but am willing to schedule makeup sessions as time allows.
I do offer a discounted rate for groups of 2-3 students. Feel free to reach out for more details!
I am willing to travel to any location that is most convenient for the student, though I am partial to libraries due to the quiet, academic atmosphere.
I'm looking forward to working with you, and to helping you achieve academic success!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
