My undergraduate education was at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), where I studied Mathematics and Philosophy, with an emphasis in Abstract Algebra and Symbolic Logic. My tutoring experience started back in high school when I tutored other students in physics and math. Throughout college, I tutored math and logic informally to some students before I started working for a tutoring company, Tutor Hill, during my last year as an undergraduate. While working for Tutor Hill, I tutored algebra and geometry until I graduated and moved here, to Virginia.

For the past eight years, I have worked for a company that classifies patents for the patent office, and I was involved in developing and implementing the training program, where I personally mentored a number of new employees. Teaching is what I love to do, especially when I get to be creative in my approach with a student that has been struggling with a subject. If you hire me as your tutor, I will adapt my teaching approach to your background, finding a way to help you relate to a subject successfully.

Even though I went to school for only Mathematics and Philosophy, I am currently working on applying to graduate school for Creative Writing, which is why I would enjoy tutoring subjects related to literature and writing. For a very low cost, I would even be willing to tutor in poetry, since that is my area of focus. If I am not the right tutor for you, I hope you find the right one.
Take care!
