Bio

How is life treating you? I am Valmiki, lover of the science. I just graduated with my Master's in Chemical Engineering from New York University. I have been tutoring professionally for 6 years, but I've always enjoyed helping my peers. I believe we have only gotten as far as we have because we had someone to pass on their knowledge. It is therefore my duty to do the same. I enjoy learning how the things around us work and that is how I understand the sciences. Through application and practice, you learn to love what you do. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with you and reaching that 'Aha!' moment that I live for.

I tutor both college level and high school students in Chemistry, Calculus and Physics.

Knowledgable and teaches self learning

I think I'm a special case, coming from two degrees in English and being used to reading and researching as opposed to following principles and applying knowledge to equations. With Valmiki's tutoring I am learning to find resources and think through problems rather than panic and freeze up when I am no longer in the presence of a tutor.

Patient and Accomodating

He was very patient with my daughter, Sam. She stated that he didn't make her feel inadequate for not knowing the material. Sam wants to continue tutoring with him. I'm hoping Valmiki can help Sam study for her SAT as well. I highly recommend him. He knows his stuff and he is pleasantly polite.

Good tutor!

Valmiki helped me with general chemistry 2. I loved how patient he was with me. He would constantly ask me questions to make sure i understood the concepts. He is also very knowledgeable and great at explaining the steps needed to answer the question correctly. Overall he was a good tutor!
