I work with children and adults of all ages, using a mix of student-centered (constructivist) learning techniques along with more traditional approaches. My teaching philosophy focuses on permitting students to establish regularly a personal, authentic relationship with each subject. This creates a foundation upon which to introduce rigor. Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons from time to time to monitor the progress of their child. Adult students who are not in school can choose a pace that best fits their busy lives.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
