- Partnership Taxation
- Corporate Taxation
- Estates, Gifts, and Trusts
- International Taxation
- Tax Practice, Procedure, and Research
- Taxation of Securities and Financial Instruments

I did my undergraduate degree in Accounting at Touro College, a private college in Brooklyn, NY. I took all prerequisite courses to sit for the CPA exam as part of the degree program. At Touro, I received numerous commendations for my studies.

Additionally, I am a great writer and well-grounded in my command of the English language. I have done proofreading for magazines and other technical writing projects.

My methods of teaching are extremely diverse. I believe that every student learns best a different way, and I am comfortable in teaching a variety of methods to help my students excel. I do not believe in rote memorization. Students should be able to think critically and will see amazing results! I enjoy giving over my knowledge, and my students will love my commitment to their understanding of the material.

If you cannot meet me in the NYC area for tutoring, I am available to meet with students over Skype, and provide high-quality instruction.

Coursework I teach:
- CPA Exam
- Enrolled Agent (EA) Exam
- Undergraduate & Graduate accounting and taxation
- Various finance, economics, and business courses
- English proofreading, grammar, etc...

Hebrew,

Hebrew

Shalom! My history with the Hebrew language is lengthy. In addition to my practical and theoretical knowledge of Hebrew, I have also spent time teaching others about various parts of Hebrew. These include idiomatic phrases, male/female tenses, past/present/future tenses, and plural/singular usage. Hebrew can be tricky for those unacquainted with it, and it differs a lot from English, but with my assistance, my pupils will gain so much from me. The best way to learn Hebrew is not to simply memorize words and phrases. Rather, the most important step to Hebrew is learning the structure. I'll give you an example: In English, we would say "The boy went to the store." If we took this at face value, and typed the sentence into Google Translate or some other translation service, they would translate the words as "Hayeled Holech La'chanut". However, in that, there are several nuances that apply to Hebrew that are extremely critical to master. I have word books, dictionaries, and other aids at my disposal to ensure you master Hebrew and can begin speaking like an Israeli. As someone who has engaged in Biblical studies since he was a young child, I feel like I am more than qualified to tutor in Hebrew. I regularly study both ancient and modern Hebrew texts, and I feel comfortable that I can give over my vast knowledge to students who want to learn this language, one of the official languages of Israel. I studied in an Israeli school for several months as an adult. In that school, and during my stay, I had to speak and read Hebrew almost all of the time. I am now confident in my ability to effectively transmit this knowledge to my pupils. They say experience is the best teacher, and I was there, in Israel, to learn the language properly in the right environment. In addition to my practical knowledge of the Hebrew language, I also took the Hebrew regents exam in high school in NY State. My Ivrit/Hebrew proved to be excellent, as I scored very highly on the exam. I can help you master Hebrew as well!

History

Bible Studies,

Bible Studies

As a religious Jew, I have been studying the Bible since the age of 3. I have been enrolled in bible classes, and have learned the Bible many times. After graduating from high school, I continued with my Bible studies for several years in a Talmudic school in Brooklyn, where I learned Bible and Talmudic law. I have a vast amount of knowledge in this area, and have helped people with their Bible studies in elementary school, high school, and at the collegiate level.
Religion,

Religion

Religion is a subject which I have studied extensively, particularly monotheistic religions. My particular area of expertise revolves around Judaism. Growing up as a practicing Jew, I enrolled in Jewish religious private schools, where I studied traditional texts, customs, and norms of Judaism. As I grew older, I began to study and understand religious methods more and more, such as divine inspiration, leadership roles, and current views on religion. The American landscape is another part of religion that fascinates me. In high school, I took a year-long course dedicated to Jewish history, and indeed I learned a lot about the commencement of different types if religions. After high school, I enrolled in a baccalaureate-level Talmudic Rabbinical college, where I continued my studies, and where I will soon be awarded a degree in Talmudic studies. My religious studies and understanding of how norms work rapidly increased during this time. In particular, have tutored many people in learning about Judaism, including the vast history of the religions beginning that dates back some 3,000+ years. My knowledge of different belief systems help other become comfortable as I teach them all I know about this deep subject.

Baseball,

Baseball

Baseball is the perfect sport for an avid sports fan like myself. I have played, watched, and closely followed the game since I was a young child. In addition to having joined several baseball leagues, I was a baseball coach in summer camp for a couple of summers, and there learned that I loved teaching others how to perfect their swing or get into the right positions defensively. I am a sports junkie who follows statistics and saber-metrics intently. A longtime Mets fan, I have a ton of baseball knowledge that I can share with others, and can help you with your fantasy team too!
Basketball,

Basketball

I have been playing, following, and watching organized basketball, and the NBA since I was 5 years old. I know a lot about the rich NBA history, as well as statistics, historical rosters, award winners (MVP, Rookie of the Year, etc...), and the rules. I have played in organized basketball leagues, and I have also been a referee in a summer camp for teenagers. Given my experience and ability to play well, I believe I have ample ability to teach you the history of the game, how to play either 1-on-1,3-on-3, or 5-on-5, and most importantly, tips on how to improve your game.
Chess,

Chess

I began playing chess when I was just 5 years old, and it has become a passion of mine. I especially enjoy competing against grandmasters, and when I win (albeit not often), I always have a lot of pride. Online chess is also something I have been involved with in the last several years. Having read various chess history and tactical books, I am qualified to teach you how to play chess, and how to develop strategies to put yourself in the best position to compete against anyone!
Table Tennis

Table Tennis

I have been playing table tennis ("ping pong") every summer for the last few years. I have become an avid player, progressing from a novice who could not play if his life depended on it, to an expert on the sport, having studied the methods of table tennis greats Zhang Jike and Dimitrij Ovtcharov. I can help you take your game to the next level! Come with me for the ride!

Outstanding Tutor

Of the three tutors I've had with WyzAnt, Eli is certainly the most impressive. He never cancelled, always showed up prepared, and most importantly, taught the material very effectively. My comfort level with the material greatly improved thanks to his help. He has a very strong knowledge in taxation and I highly recommend anyone who is struggling to study for the Regulation section of the CPA exam to give him a call!
