Tufts University (IR and Philosophy)
Hi! My name is Leroy and I am a recent college graduate who has extensive tutoring experience dating back to 2006. After graduating high school, I tutored grade 10 Mathematics and Chemistry to a student several nights a week for 3 months. During the Fall of 2007, while attending Tufts University, I was an ESL teacher to El Salvadorian immigrants in a local community center.
While living in Paris during my spring semester abroad in 2009, I tutored English to a French University student, and during the summer of 2009 I tutored intermediate French to a high school student in Brookline, Massachusetts. In the fall of 2010, I tutored two of my university classmates in essay writing and construction for an introductory Philosophy course and in introductory Microeconomics.
I am currently tutoring a college graduate in beginners and intermediate French in preparation for admission to graduate school.

I am passionate, I possess a wide skill set and I have taught many different subjects to many different students. I thoroughly enjoy the entire process of tutoring, especially when it is one-on-one, and would love to have the opportunity to utilize my skills and experience to help students in any way that I can. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
