About Meg

I offer personalized Japanese, Russian, English and art lessons that focus on your goals and interests, with curriculum that will best match your needs.

I have years of experience teaching Japanese at BKC-International in Moscow, Russia, and Fluent City in NYC, where I also teach Russian. I hold a certificate of "Test of Russian as a Foreign Language - level 2".

In addition, I teach Japanese elective classes at Atmosphere Academy Charter Schools and International High School at Lafayette, and serve as a language couch and consultant for the TV show "Mozart in the Jungle".

I studied painting and drawing at University of Oregon, The New York Academy of Art and The Art Students League of New York, and creative writing at West Aide YMCA and Gotham Writers' Workshop.

I teach all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced and work with different age groups: school children, university students and working professionals.

Based on your needs, I create different lesson plans to help you develop your skills.

I am available to teach on weekends, too.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
