Hello! My name is Kieran and I am a former College Basketball Player who has a wealth of experience coaching basketball to athletes from the age of 5 to the College level. I have a lot of experience coaching athletes' ages 5-21 through years of summer camps, individual training, and after-school basketball training all around the country. I also have experience coaching at the Division I and III College Basketball level. This enables me to create a customized, individual basketball training regiment for players at all levels; whether just starting out or looking to play at a high level in high school, college, and beyond!
As a player who constantly had to prove myself again and again as I progressed to higher levels of basketball, I specialize in building your son or daughter's skill level, but more importantly, their character. I was not always the best basketball player on my team, so I know first-hand what it takes to maximize a player's potential.
Through the use of short-term and long-term goal setting, quotes, anecdotes and analogies; I will teach your son or daughter great basketball lessons that are even more valuable when applied to every day life. Not only will your son/daughter grow strong in basketball skills, they will simultaneously build the strength of their character and work ethic. Focusing on individual effort and hard work empowers the athletes that I work with to become more goal-oriented and self-motivated in order to DRIVE their game to the next level!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I feel qualified to tutor in the subject of Basketball first and foremost because I have a passion for basketball and currently work full-time as the Basketball Sports Education Coordinator at a program that provides after-school basketball and basketball clinics to schools and athletes in the NYC area. I played College Basketball at Mt St Mary College (Newburgh, NY). I coached College Basketball at SUNY Morrisville (A Div III school located in Morrisville, NY) and Marist College (A Div I school located in Poughkeepsie, NY). I have a wealth of experience teaching and coaching basketball to athletes aged 5-21. I have worked many basketball camps as well.
