I am an experienced SAT and SAT Subject test tutor who focuses on developing students study skills and critical thinking ability to not only get them great score improvements but also benefit them in their long term academic career. As a firm believer in students taking control of their own learning and academic goals, I encourage students to develop study skills that work for their own unique style of learning.
Having tutored extensively for the SAT - getting students score improvements of over 600 points - I am familiar with the techniques that lead to success on the test. Beyond the regular strategies I have found effective ways of guiding students in gaining greater critical understanding of the SAT through analyzing the structure and logic of the test to achieve great results and introduces an approach to learning that is beneficial beyond the SAT. Energetic and adaptive I will find what approach works for your student by connecting with them as a person rather than treating them only as a client. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
