I have over 10 years of experience tutoring one-on-one in subjects as varied as high school math, Spanish, and ESL. I've worked for Copiague High School and I worked for Florida International University as a language tutor of Arabic, Portuguese, and Spanish. I've also helped a few of my cousins pass their classes on the side.
Math is a strength of mine and as it is in great demand is my most requested subject. Breaking problems down into simple steps helps a student understand the importance of each part and how it relates to the bigger picture and overall end result.
A fervent polyglot, I learn new languages everyday and this experience helps me understands the challenges that ESL learners face. Whether you speak Spanish, Haitian Creole, Chinese or Russian, I will help you become confident in your new language so that you can be even more successful in your business and everyday life. Also, learners of high school Spanish or elementary or intermediate university level Spanish will glide through their coursework with engaging conversational practice and written exercise. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
