In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
The ACT English requires certain test taking strategies combined with an aptitude for the material. I can help you hone both of these aspects whilst gaining personal confidence. These tests are important, they are stepping stones to your goals. I would be honored to help you get there.
I relished my AP American History course in High School and received a 5/5 as a reward for my efforts. History is alive for me and can be so for all students. Hard work and whimsy go hand in hand when unearthing the realities of those who came before us. I am honored to help you or your loved ones gain confidence in our histories, emboldened not dwarfed (or bored!!) by those who've come before.
English has been a true love of mine since I began school. The coursework is colorful and has room for everybody. If you need help standing tall in a room with Shakespeare, Austen, Milton, Burgess or even Dr. Seuss I would be honored to aid in your journey. The English language is fascinating, yet understandably confusing -- you can master it, I can help.
I am a highly trained actor which indicates both my confidence in public speaking and my control over my physical instrument. I know how to connect with an audience and make a persuasive point understood. I have experience with debate and class presentations as well as my time honing my voice as an actor. Give me a speech, I will embody it. Give me a student I will embolden him.
I took the SAT Reading back when it was an elective measure. I knew this was the type of entrance exam I could succeed in and so I volunteered for this extra trial. My goal is to help any student enter his or her exam with the same level of comfort and confidence. These tests are important, they are stepping stones to your goals. I would be honored to help you get where you want to be.
I know what not to do, and I know what to do. Most importantly I know the value of finding what works for the individual. I am currently getting my Masters Degree from Empire State College which is entirely independent work. There are no classrooms nor teachers breathing down my neck. If I want to succeed I have to find my path to it. I know how essential focus and confidence are in the academic journey and I want to help students find their own.
