University of Chicago (International Studie)
My name is Brenndon and I am a former University of Chicago student with years of experience in tutoring both my peers and those younger than me. Most recently at the University of Chicago I was a peer tutor, assisting fellow students with literature, essays, history, and social studies. In high school I was both a peer tutor, and a member of the Homework Helper club, a student organization that connects high schoolers with middle school and elementary school students to help them with their homework.
Gregarious and encouraging, I excel at taking subjects and making them more relatable to those I tutor, especially when it comes to history. I employ a somewhat Socratic method, framing questions in a way that encourages those I tutor to reach the answers to their questions themselves, if possible, before I give them the answer. I'm also skilled with mnemonic devices, which help students remember those tricky facts and tricks on test day.
I am looking to tutor students in need of help with reading, writing, social studies, and history, in addition to SAT/SAT II, ACT and AP test prep, study skills, and public speaking. My pricing is negotiable, so do not hesitate to make me your best offer! I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully helping you achieve your academic or intellectual goals!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
