I met Arsenio this weekend, as I'm an adult returning to school after raising a family. Math has never been my strong suit, Algebra in this case, so I'm trying to give myself an advantage and brush the cob webs off my brain. I feel confident with Arsenio's assistance I'll pass my class and the Final Exam.

Hey Monica. I could tell you were brilliant from the start. I look forward to continuing with you and having you flourish. Be well!

Although it is only our first lesson, Arsenio is quite patient and allowed for my son to be able to relax and explain the problems and also be able to identify his mistakes. Again it was only the first lesson and I look forward to our next meeting.

Your son is very intelligent. So far, after two lessons, I notice he grasps quickly and flows smoothly once he sees that he can apply the knowledge. I'm interested to see his progression as time goes on.

Arsenio has taught me different ways to solve problems. He also taught me how to do different steps and make math much more easier. We know math will not get easy until you understand it 100 percent. The things I like about him is that he will break down the problem for you step all you have to say is I don't understand and he will reword it,also I like how he tells me different rules for working with that topic to always remember. He's helped me accomplish the understanding of math and knowing math will get easy once you understand .

Thank you. You are very intelligent... One point about your review: The ease doesn't begin once you understand it 100%. Once you begin understanding the work, it just gets easier. Hope you understand what I mean by that... Stay consistent with your effort and we will both continue to see your improvement.

My daughter is learning new things and is very excited about learning more. She is very comfortable with Arsenio and his methods.

Your daughter is very smart. I see her confidence grow with every lesson. As long as your daughter stays dedicated, she will continue to show improvement. I look forward to seeing how her confidence increases as we move along. So far, she is doing a great job.

Arsenio has tutored my son for over four months and he has been consistent and very patient. My son enjoys his sessions and the results are astounding!

Thank you. I didn't know the results were that good. I enjoy tutoring your son. He's brilliant!

My daughter has struggled all year with algebra, and finally I think she is going to overcome it with the help of Arsenio. He is very patient an absolute pleasure to work with.

Thank you! Your daughter's willingness to get better showed from the very first session. That made me very eager to teach her. She should be very proud of her improvements, especially in such a short amount of time.

Arsenio guided my son through the actual topics needed for the Regents, unlike the teachers at school who had overwhelmed him with unnecessary material. We will definitely choose him for any future sessions when needed. I hereby highly recommend him as a very bright math tutor.

Thank you. I definitely did not expect this. Your son is also very bright. I have no doubt about his ability to learn and perform the math at a high level. I will do my best to have him ready for the upcoming Regents Exam. Thank you once again.

Arsenio has been tutoring my son for the last 3 weeks. My son is in an accelerated math program, and it wasn't until last week that we were able to sit down and go through math work with out any problems. Arsenio's patience is that of a saint. I was worried about my son being suspended form the program that he's in, but now, after hiring Arsenio, I'm very confident that not only will he catch on, but he will thrive. Thanks Arsenio!

From the first lesson I had with your son I knew he was BRILLIANT! It's great to teach him. He impresses me every session.

My daughter last year as a junior in high school could not pass algebra 2 with the help of 3 tutors. This year she is taking it again and with the help of Arsenio she now has an 85 average. I am grateful to Arsenio. He is patient and has a wonderful work ethic. Anybody who has him as a tutor would definitely benefit from his expertise.

Thank you for this. Seeing your daughter grow in spite of her fears is a testament to her dedication and willingness to learn. She is great to teach!

Arsenio has been tutoring my 11 year old son twice a week for the last four months. My son had been struggling in Math and ELA and found it difficult to keep up with his peers. However, given Arsenio’s extensive knowledge and his skillful teaching techniques, my son was able to fully grasp and learn the concepts quickly to meet and now exceed his grade level. He almost instantly developed more self-esteem and confidence in his ability to handle both subjects.

My son truly looked forward to his tutoring sessions. He completed his assignments enthusiastically and enjoyed the time he spent with Arsenio. Arsenio was always patient when explaining concepts and he knew how to inspire my son. My son had a lot of fun learning and took pride in his accomplishments. He not only learned the course content, but also learned valuable new study skills that will serve him well into the 7th grade and beyond.

With Arsenio’s help, my son did exceptional work and is no longer intimidated by word problems, fractions, exponents or writing essays. He is now looking forward to the 7th grade and I credit Arsenio for my son’s continued interest in finishing out the school year on top!

Thank you! Your son is brilliant. Thank you for allowing me to improve his math abilities and guide his unique imagination. He was a joy to teach!

I started tutoring with Arsenio remembering very little in algebra which I did over 15 years ago. 3 weeks later I took the test and passed with 75% out of 20 questions. He was very professional, timely and most of all he knows his maths. I would recommend him anytime. Thanks Arsenio.

Thank you! You are a very smart woman. Good Luck!

My name is Swen from Brooklyn Ny; I have finally decided (after several sessions) to give Mr. Arsenio F. a written review.

Mr. Arsenio F. is very professional, have great people skill, with positive personality, and for the most, he is very knowledgeable in math. Mr. Arsenio F. breaks down complex math problems and makes it simple (with step by step explanation) that his student's will understand. He makes his tutorial fun, exciting, and motivating for his student's.

I strongly recommend a trial lesson with Mr. Arsenio F.

Thank you. I always respected what you represent as a man. Most importantly, I always respected your humility and honesty. Many men don't have the humility to allow someone younger to tutor them. I always appreciated that from you. Thank you once again.

I find Arsenio to be very patient and helpful in tutoring my son. So far the response from my son as been positive. He likes working with his tutor. My son in his own words said that he was able to master his teacher's questions in class because he was well prepared by his tutor.

Thank you for this. It is very humbling. Zachary is very intelligent and I will continue to do my best to prepare him for success.

Upon initial meeting, Arsenio appears to be a very professional, knowledgeable, and approachable young man. My son is 14 years old and felt immediately comfortable. I was very hesitant to invite a complete stranger into my home, off of the internet, but we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! The rates were wonderful! Private tutoring can be quite pricey! In just one session, my son already felt "the fog lift" and asked if Arsenio could please extend the session for an extra 1/2 hour because he was grasping so much! Arsenio was very polite and accommodating. He had a great deal of patience and praise! We couldn't be more pleased & are very eager to see our son's improvement!

I had no idea I made such a great impression. Thank you!!!

During the process of scheduling the lesson Arsenio was very patient and professional.

The lesson was good, however my son wants to try other tutors.

Thank you for the opportunity. Alex is a smart, young man. I wish him the best of luck.

I'm a student of aviation high school and was having trouble in math but when Arsenio started to tutor me I started to understand the concept of what I was learning which helped me improve my grades dramatically.

Thank you. I appreciate this a lot Christian. Keep up the good work. As I told you before, you are very intelligent. I will be there to help you whenever possible.

Elementary Education:

Elementary (K-6th), Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Inequalities- involve >,<,>=,<=

Factoring- Find GCF and divide each term in the expression by the GCF

Factoring Radicals- the square root of the product is equivalent to the square root of its factors

Order of Operations

PEMDAS (Parenthesis Exponent Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction)

Number Theory

Real Numbers- All numbers from negative infinity to infinity

Rational Numbers- Numbers that can be written as a ratio

Irrational Numbers- Numbers that cannot be written as a ratio.

Perimeter of Polygon = Sum of all the sides

Area of parallelogram = Length* Width

Volume of object= Area* Height

Solving an Equation for an unknown, usually 'x'.

Solving a System of Equations

Elimination Method = When adding two equations, get rid of one of the variables while solving for the other. After finding the value of that variable, substitute it in one of the original equations to find the value of the eliminated variable.

Substitution Method- Solve for one variable in terms of the other. Substitute that variable into one of the original equations. Solve for the remaining variable. Substitute that value into one of the original equations to find the value of the other variable.

Setting the Equations Equal to Each Other Method- Solve each equation so they both equal the same thing, i.e 'y' or 'x'. You can now set the equations equal to each other. Follow the method for substitution.
