Sam is recent graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia who completed the Global Commerce Scholars Thesis program, concentrated in Marketing and Information Technology, pursued tracks in Global Commerce and Business Analytics, and fulfilled requirements for a second-major in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. At school, Sam taught discussion sections as a TA for principles microeconomics and macroeconomics, competed for a top ten Model UN team, ran and organized Model UN conferences, led a shift of Volunteer Income Tax Assistants, and volunteered at a local homeless day-shelter.
For a year after graduation, Sam worked as a Customer & Marketing Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, where he gained valuable experience assisting life science clients with global marketing and data governance transformations and new technology implementations. Now he returns to academia, and isexcited to conduct bankruptcy research at Columbia Law School. This experience, while also continuing his education at the Columbia School of Professional Studies, is intended to prepare him for Ph.D. studies in Behavioral Economics.
