Hello.

In 2016, I left a financial services job in the private sector and have journeyed on to a new career as a college professor and tutor.

Due to my education and 25 years experience in financial services, math has always been my strongest subject. It was my favorite subject in school and I have had real-world use throughout my career.

In the past five years, I have tutored third through sixth graders as they prepared for New York State math tests, high school algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus and college-level economics. I also teach Principles of Microeconomics at three local colleges. In the past, I was also an adjunct professor of Economics (Money and Banking).

During 2013-2016, I was the New York based editor for an international bank, where my primary responsibility was to edit research and strategy reports. My clients were both native and non-native English speakers.

I spent many years training clients, employees and talking to the media. As a result I have a strong training background. Most of it involved teaching clients to use our financial products and computer applications, training my staff and colleagues on our products and the financial markets, and interpreting economic statistics for reporters.

Thank you.

Over the past five years, most of my students were studying Algebra II (including honors levels) and pre-calculus. Exceptional tutor! Extremely clear, organized and talented at simplifying complex concepts!

Maureen is an extraordinary tutor. She was outstanding in getting my son caught up on missed material for his college Microeconomics class and helping him prepare for his Final exam. Not only was she amazing at teaching him all the missed material, she was also very understanding and accommodating. She went above and beyond to ensure that he truly understood the material, even preparing mock test questions to reinforce his learning and assess his mastery. She is the tutor to choose if you want someone who is caring, clear, organized, and talented at teaching and simplifying concepts. Would give more than five stars if that were an option!!

Maureen is an amazing tutor - A+++++ !

Maureen taught my son Econ 101 from Jan. through April (he was on leave from college) and she did an amazing job in every way. She is highly knowledgeable, prepared, timely, articulate, patient and supportive. She worked hard to make a dry topic as interesting as possible, and she did a wonderful job explaining complex topics in a simple and straightforward manner. Maureen is passionate about her work and her subject matter which is enjoyable to experience. I cannot say enough good things about Maureen and my son feels the same way. We were very fortunate to have found her!
