I hold a certification in TESOL, and a B.A. in History, East Asian studies, and Japanese from CUNY. In addition to having a wide variety of interests, I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge on the subjects in which I have dedicated my time to study. Learning is a process without end, and I thoroughly understand the importance of patience, diligence, and tolerance along the quest of acquiring a foreign language. I have been studying Japanese for over four years, and I have experience with tutoring ESL students of various different linguistic backgrounds.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
