Hi! I’m Beverly, a dedicated tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I graduated from NYU with a 4.0 GPA in Economics and earned a 35 on the ACT. I also graduated from Horace Mann with a 4.0 GPA.

I have three years of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a public middle school, where I worked closely with 6th-grade students in small groups. I taught key math topics like fractions, ratios, integers, one-step equations, and geometry. For example, when teaching ratios, I brought in real-life scenarios like comparing ingredients in recipes, and had students write and solve their own ratio word problems. We’d use visuals like double number lines and bar models to build a strong conceptual understanding before moving into equations.
