About Constance

My love of teaching is not limited to the classroom that I accompany on a daily basis. As a lifelong learner, I am consistently involved in community service opportunities, professional development, and tutoring opportunities to enhance my personal skills and increase my knowledge base. I graduated with a 4.0 in my Master's program from Roberts Wesleyan College, have been nominated as Teacher of the Year, and have been granted the Paul Harris Fellow Honor for contributions made to the community through the Rotary International Organization.

I am currently a teacher of Special Education, Living Environment, and several electives at Churchville-Chili High School. I maintain certifications in various areas, including K-12 Health Science, K-6 Elementary Education, and K-12 Special Education. I have more than 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience in areas such as Elementary Reading, English Language Learning, Living Environment, among others. I have taught and assisted in classrooms that follow curriculum related to Biology, Ecology, Global and American History, English, various electives, and Elementary Math, Science, and English. I maintain a very successful passing rate on Regents exams for both Regular and Special Education students.

As a Special Education teacher, familiarity of IEP and 504 Plans are an aspect of student life that I attend to daily. I am a compassionate and understanding individual who has an outstanding relationship with the students that I encounter and have proven success in assisting students with passing exams, including local and state tests (Regent's exams and grade level tests included at both the elementary and middle/high school level). Experience with students with autism, physical disabilities, hearing issues, ADD/ADHD, chronic illness, and ESOL students is part of my daily repertoire. In addition to students with Special Needs, I also teach Regular Education students in various subjects and share with them learning strategies to assist in their success.

My teaching is based on the needs and individualized learning methods of the student that I am assisting. I believe that students should be taught to be lifelong learners and benefit from a variety of learning activities while investigating the strategies that work best for them. Under my assistance, students will develop study skills and learning strategies that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom in their area of need.

I invite you to contact me to discuss your needs in regards to education. I look forward to hearing from you!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Fantastic tutor

We could not be happier with the success our son has had since working with Constance. He started working with Connie 10 months ago because he was struggling in Spanish. Connie helped him with his study skills and homework. With Connie's guidance over the summer and through this fall he has gone from failing grades to grades in the 90's. Connie's patience and guidance has made my son a very co
